I will spend my birthday in Boracay with my friends!!!

Finally, I will go to Boracay at last after the cancellation of my trip to boracay last holy week.

And I’m very lucky to have a cheapest trip & accommodation in Boracay…

How do I’ve got a lowest rate like that? Well I do comparison so it’s very easy to choose a lowest rate.

and after the comparison I realize thet Zest Airways (Asian Spirits) offers the lowest rate... I had my booking for only Php 3,618.00 two way...

and we are so lucky to find the cheapest accomodation in boracay for low as 2,100.00/per person good for 3 nights and 4 days.... in "LA CARMELA DE BORACAY RESORT HOTEL"

my new house

Last June, I applied for a company loan, and when the bank approves my loan application and I receive my cash, I saved it on my bank account. Then last July, I decided to apply for a housing loan and used my cash from company loan as my down payment for the housing loan.

Last week, while I’m tripping one of my buyer (I’m a part time agent) in the same place and I’m so happy when I saw my house and it’s already build.

I’m so excited while waiting for the turn over of my house. I had a lot of plan to do and design on my own house.

One hundred peso bill with UP Logo…

I have a one hundred peso bill with UP logo.

The Central Bank of the Philippines issued a limited edition of one hundred peso bill with the Logo of University of the Philippines (the iconic symbol of UP, represented by a man with arms wide-stretched and face facing up, symbolizing selfless offering of one's self to his country).
The said University is celebrating their 100 years and as part of their celebration if you have a the 100 peso bill like me, but I accidentally pay my 100 peso bill in to the tricycle huhuhu… (T T) they will change it and double the amount ( from 200 - 1000 peso bill…) :)

But my intention is to keep it as my collection item and not to sell it... huhuhu.. I'm hoping to have that again...

I got sick….

I had a running nose, I feel so weak once I have it

What is runny nose?

Rhinorrhea is the medical term for this common problem. From the Greek words "rhinos" meaning "of the nose" and "rhoia" meaning "a flowing

Nasal congestion, stuffy nose, runny nose – these are common problems experienced by everyone, usually many times a year. We generally disregard it, if it’s on moderate levels but can get very annoyed when they are strong and require our attentions.

What I feel?

  • Soreness of throat, congestion of nasal passages,
  • Although this disease normally begins in my nose and throat, it also affects in all parts of my body.
  • It usually lasts from three to ten days. It makes me feels miserable for the first three days or so.
  • Sneezing, a rise in temperature, headache, sore throat, chill, aches and pains in my body, and loss of appetite.
  • And the most I hate when I have this disease my skin around the nostrils become sore. It really hurt, and sometimes it’s bring pimples too.

Why I have this?

  • Cold Exposure to the virus A common cold results from exposure to the virus.
  • Low vitality, dust, changes in temperature, exposure to cold, lack of sleep, mental depression, fatigue, and factors such as sudden changes in temperature, dust, and other irritating inhalations are important contributory causes.

What do I take to cure this illness?

  • I drunk plenty of water
  • I drunk a Analgesic Medicine (non- drowse when in the office) and (forte if I need a rest)
  • You could use a nasal spray to depress it for a while. But there are some problems with the sprays:
First, they are drugs (chemicals), might have side effects and are somewhat addictive.
    Second, they cost money.
Third, you should have it with you whenever your nose drives you mad. This might not be the case every time, since you have to buy it first, and then carry it with you whenever you go (work, for example).
  • Using Lemon, this is the most important among the many home remedies for common cold. It is beneficial in all types of cold with fever. Vitamin C-rich lemon juice increases body resistance, decreases toxicity and reduces the duration of the illness.
    HOW:
One lemon should be diluted in a glass of warm water, and a teaspoon of honey should be added to it. This should be taken once or twice daily.
  • Using Garlic, Garlic soup is an old remedy to reduce the severity of a cold, and should be taken once daily.
    HOW:
The soup can be prepared by boiling three or four cloves of chopped garlic in a cup of water. Garlic contains antiseptic and antispasmodic properties, besides several other medicinal virtues. The oil contained in this vegetable helps to open up the respiratory passages. In soup form, it flushes out all toxins from the system and thus helps bring down fever. Five drops of garlic oil combined with a teaspoon of onion juice, and diluted in a cup of water, should be drunk two to three times a day. This has also been found to be very effective in the treatment of common cold.
  • Using Ginger, Ginger is another excellent remedy for colds and coughs.
    HOW :
About ten grams of ginger should be cut into small pieces and boiled in a cup of water. It should then be strained and half a teaspoon of sugar added to it. This decoction should be drunk when hot. Ginger tea, prepared by adding a few pieces of ginger into boiled water before adding the tea leaves, is also an effective remedy for colds and for fevers resulting from cold. It may be taken twice daily.
  • Using Tamarind and Pepper Tamarind-pepper rasam is also considered an effective home remedy for a cold in South India.
    HOW:
Dilute 50 mg tamarind in 250 ml of water. Boil the diluted tamarind water for a few minutes with a teaspoon of hot ghee and half a teaspoon of black pepper powder. This steaming hot rasam has a flushing effect, and should be taken three times a day. As one takes it, the nose and eyes water and the nasal blockage is cleared.
  • Using Vitamin C Regular intake of vitamin C-75 mg for adults and 35 mg for children-will prevent the common cold. If, however, a cold has already appeared, large doses of this vitamin will relieve the symptoms and shorten its duration. He estimates that one to two grams (1000 mg to 2000 mg) per day is approximately the optimum amount of this vitamin for this purpose. His advice is to swallow one or two 500mg tablets of vitamin C at the appearance of the first sign of the cold and continue the treatment by taking one to two 500 mg tablets daily.
  • Dietaries for Common Cold Abstain solid foods, drink fruit and vegetable juices during the acute stage of the cold, when fever is present, the patient should abstain from all solid foods and only drink fruit and vegetable juices, diluted with water.

“ERASERHEADS CONCERT”

I'm going to watch eraserheads concert on Aug, 30, 2008 at CCP Complex.
I already registered at Marlboro website for their free ticket.

But I can’t upload my Id online so I faxed it with them.
I try to contact them for more information but no one answers on my call….

Therefore, I am so worried that this event will not push through.

I’ve red one article from the internet that DOH warns cigar firm from Sponsoring E-heads concerts.

Here’s the article I’ve red:

The Department of Health (DOH) warned Philip Morris that they might face criminal charges if they push through with the sponsorship of the reunion concert of popular 90’s band Eraserheads scheduled on August 30 in Manila.

Alexander Padilla (Health Undersecretary) said Philip Morris will be violating Republic Act No. 9211 or the Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003 which prohibits cigar companies from sponsoring sports, cultural, and artistic events of individual or team athletes, artists and performers.
A lawyer by profession, Padilla said Philip Morris, its president, general manager and board of directors will be held liable if they will proceed with sponsoring the concert.
He said the government, if it has to, could go to the retailers and confiscates the tobacco products.
The Health department and tobacco control advocates also appealed to Eraserheads to reject the Philip Morris' sponsorship of its much awaited reunion concert.
Padilla said the popular band, which disbanded in 2002, should disassociate themselves from a cigar company who will be sponsoring their concert.
"Considered one of the most influential bands in the country, the Eraserheads has become a role model of sorts for our young. I hope they will rise up to the challenge, do more than play music, and help young Filipinos reach their potential," said Dr. Maricar Limpin of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Alliance-Philippines.
Limpin asked the Eraserheads to duplicate a recent act by singer Alicia Keys. The award-winning singer and pianist recently rejected the sponsorship of cigarette giant Philip Morris for her concert in Indonesia.
Louis Camilleri, chairman and chief executive officer of Philip Morris, has confirmed in a letter to Matthew Myers of Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids dated July 30, 2008 that their company is behind the reunion concert.
Limpin said even if Philip Morris' name will not come out on any poster, billboard or material related to the Eraserheads concert, the public knows that to watch the concert, one has to be a member of the Marlboro red list.
Treachery in marketing
"This is marketing treachery at its worse. One has to be a smoker or must claim to be a smoker to be able to watch the smoker," Limpin said.
She said in registering with the Marlboro red list, one is asked what brand of cigarette he smokes and is asked for contact information and accept the condition that he is interested to receive "smoking-related" information and promotional materials from Philip Morris.
"You cannot complete the registration without checking that particular box stating you are interested in receiving information and promotional materials from Philip Morris. So in your attempt to watch the concert, you are opening yourself up as a target of Philip Morris advertisements," Limpin said.
She said while it is too much to expect Philip Morris "to grow a conscience and think of the well-being of children in the third world country like the Philippines", the former member of the band might be more sympathetic as they may have children, niece and nephews who may suffer from effects of tobacco smoke.
Limpin said Eraserheads former vocalist Ely Buendia knows the ill effects of smoking after suffering a heart problem in February 2007.
The DOH said at least 10 Filipinos die every hour due to smoking-related diseases or 240 Filipinos everyday or 87,600 every year.
"The Eraserheads should not allow themselves to be deceived by Philip Morris and protect their fans from this devious marketing ploy," Limpin said.
She added that Eraserheads will not run out of sponsors for their reunion concert if they will turn down Philip Morris.
"There are many companies who are more than willing to sponsor the concert but they do not want get involved in an activity wherein the company they are going to co-sponsor the event is a cigarette company," Limpin said.
She also clarified that their group only wants to spoil the coming reunion concert.
"I'm not telling the band not to push through with the concert, I want that to be cleared. In reality, we want the concert to push through but we are appealing to the band that maybe we should place more emphasis to the responsibility of the band. Maybe if they cannot get out of this anymore, I will challenge the band to play for anti-smoking event because all the other bands have been into a smoke-free event for the past few months since May," Limpin said.

“08-08-08” OLYMPICS

“ONE WORLD ONE DREAM”
The most expensive Olympics held at Beijing China.
“THE OPENING CEREMONY”
On the night of August 8, 2008, the sound of heavy footsteps thundered across the "Bird's Nest" as colossal burning "footprints" marched in the sky along Beijing's central axis all the way through the Olympic Green to the National Stadium
As the last "footprint" lit up the sky above the National Stadium, spectators all over the world began a virtual tour of Chinese culture; what they saw was ancient China and young China, a nation wishing to build a harmonious home together with friends from all parts of the world.
More than 20,000 performers from all parts of China including
Hong Kong, Macao and Chinese Taipei, regaled audience members with martial arts performances and artistic story telling through song and dance. On the ever-changing backdrop and accompanied by amazingly complex displays of fireworks, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games was launched, literally, with a bang.
